Welcome to the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT)
"German expertise, Mongolian talent" - GMIT gives young Mongolian and international students the opportunity to become leaders in their field of study, and to benefit from the transfer of German engineering and technical know-how to Mongolia.
With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science (Mongolia) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (Germany), our international university - strengthened by intercultural character and diversity - was established in 2013.
Today, GMIT is a dynamic Campus university which is internationally accredited and recognized. We have strong bonds with our German Partner universities (TU Bergakademie Freiberg, RWTH Aachen University, Martin-Luther Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Brandenburgische Technische Universität, Technische Hochschule Georg Agricula Bochum) and are in close cooperation with the Mongolian industry as well as with Mongolian universities and institutes.
Our university is the place where students learn, analyze, create, and experience the excitement to transform the world. Our graduates are highly qualified experts in Raw Materials and Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy and Electrical Engineering and Mechatronic Engineering.
Proudly, we call our students and academic/administrative staff “GMIT Family”, because we care about first-class education and research in the 21st century. Together, we strive to become a leading university of engineering and technology in Mongolia and Asia.
Most sincerely,
