The program “Asian initiative of natural resources and environmental legal” will be conducted
Ministry of Mining and Heavy industry supports “the program of Asian initiative of natural resources and environmental legal” program of the School of Law, the National University of Mongolia in the framework of the 100th -anniversary of the mining sector, signed a Memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Tourism, Mongolian University of Science and Technology, and German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology on June 6th, 2022.
“The program of Asian initiative of natural resources and environmental legal” will explore the legal environment, climate change, investment, and green technology at the national and regional levels. Also, it aims to develop a center for innovation in natural resources and environmental legal in Asia. As well, an independent Master’s program in “Natural resources and environmental legal” will be launched in 2024.
Within the framework of this program will be organized training on “Mining legal regulation and Practice” at the International level in November 2022 and training on “Legal n Environment and Climate Change” at the domestic level in April 2023.
The initiative will have a Steering Committee and an Academic Committee composed of representatives of partner organizations, as well as support and collaboration with young researchers and experts in the areas of resources governance, geology, mining, environment, sustainable development, and climate change.
