GMIT Successfully Participated in “UB EDU EXPO – 2026”
The German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) successfully participated in the “UB EDU EXPO – 2026” education exhibition held from May 8–10, 2026.
The exhibition provided an important platform for high school students, parents, and education stakeholders to learn more about university programs, admission opportunities, career pathways, and learning environments offered by higher education institutions.
GMIT is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and implemented through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The project aims to strengthen the university’s human resources, academic capacity, and infrastructure in order to educate highly qualified specialists in the fields of mining, engineering, and technology.
During the exhibition, GMIT introduced high school students and visitors to:
* Undergraduate engineering programs;
* Academic facilities, laboratories, and student life;
* The unique features of German-Mongolian higher education cooperation;
* Opportunities to receive internationally oriented engineering education;
* Admission information and study opportunities at GMIT.
Through its participation, GMIT aimed to support students in making informed career decisions, encourage interest in engineering and technology fields, and highlight the advantages of studying at a university based on German academic standards and international cooperation.
GMIT continues to develop its educational and research activities with the goal of preparing internationally competent engineers and technology professionals who can contribute to Mongolia’s future development.
The “UB EDU EXPO – 2026” served as a valuable opportunity for future students to explore educational opportunities and take the first step toward their professional careers in engineering and technology.
