As a research-based university, GMIT aims to cooperate with Mongolian educational institutions in teaching and research. Within the framework of this objective, GMIT has signed agreements with following universities and secondary schools:

• Kherlen Secondary School 4 of Khentii Province (2017 оноос хойш)
• Transport Institute (since 2017)

• New Mongol Institute of Technology (since 2018)  
• Mongolian National Defence University (since 2018)  
• English School of Mongolia (since 2019)

Each year, GMIT organizes the Teachers' Symposium – a conference on advanced teaching methods and didactics for university lecturers and researchers as well as for senior highschool teachers.
